VIKTOR & ROLF F/W14
Flash trip to Paris!
Saturday i was working backstage as a dresser at the Viktor & Rolf F/W14 show in Paris.
After a bus ride of 6 hours: it was a great experience with great people.
Bad thing was that time went by in a blink of an eye.... Time flies when you're having fun!

JIL SANDER
Jil Sander Fall 2014. ph by Marcus Tondo via Vogue.com
Without Jil Sander herself, the design team showed a respectful Sander-ish collection at Milan Fashion Week.
With some pleats and folds, minimalistic and sculptural cuts and the pastel color palette with contrasting men shoes underneath,
i can definitely say: one of my favorites!

S T E L L A
Since i have a addiction to sunglasses, the one i saw the Stella McCartney S14 show at Style.com couldn't be left behind. This model is very aesthetic and and most of all, it's also wearable. Normally i'm more of the "black & basic but i've got to confess, this one is a different story....

MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA S14
A balance between commercial and conceptual in a circus inspired way. This time the idea was about tailoring inspired by men’s wear and then analyzed as a experiment. However i find this collection less experiment and deconstruction, i find that they're still following the ideas and vision of Margiela himself and they're doing a good job. I mean, look at the trenchcoat inspired dress in contrast with the simple red silhouette and the pink glitter beaded jacket. Interesting.

LACOSTE SPRING 2014
When i saw the new Lacoste collection i was surprised and find it very refreshing. A call to nineties minimalism with a update of the classic tennis shirt is what Lacoste is all about this spring. However normally i'm not a sportswear fan for daily basis, this collection during NYFW felt way different. Soft fabrics in white and nude colors, clean silhouettes and a touch of sheer triggered me right away. And with my eyes on the oversized trench in the middle, which i just had to share, i say Yay! Lacoste!

THREE OF A KIND
The perfect white shirt and the perfect leather bag.
Shot in a concept way of; "Horen, zien en zwijgen". Dutch for; "Hear, see and silence".
I personally think the hear, see and silence part is in this society today such an important aspect. Everything you say, everything you do, there will always be someone who criticize or disrespect what you're doing or you're opion. I've learned along the way it's better to keep silence than attack one another. That does not mean you don't speak out or so because in this society you have to have a voice, a identity, a personality to reach the success you want to archieve. But still be and stay true to yourself.
Conclusion: Do what you love and never let anyone tell you to do different.
Wish you all a happy weekend!

CURRENT FAVORITES
The people who know me best, know that i am weak for COS. Especially COS accessoires, in particular bracelets. I like the fact that they use rare materials and shapes for the accessoires collection like steel, metal or knits. I don't know why but always when i visit a COS store, i go home with a bracelet. I guess i can't leave without...
Do you have a favorite store of all time?

Zara Fall/Winter - 2013/2014
Kinda diggin' the whole Zara collection of fall 2013. Normally i do not like a whole collection, there are always items i don't like but this time is an exception. I think it's because of the use of natural colors and beautiful materials like wool and wool felt. Look at the grey coat in the second picture, it's absolutely stunning. Must.have.it.
